My Expertise
I have a PhD from University of Tromsø - The Arctic University of Norway, where I focused on imaging and understanding fluid flow pathways and gas-water-rock interactions in the sedimented Knipovich Mid-Ocean Spreading Ridge.
All of my work focusses on understanding how fluid moves through the subsurface. Both in the past, in mineralization events, and currently - for understanding subsurface reservoirs and their potential for geological storage. I primarily work with geophysical data however I can also work with other geoscience data sets.
I am a research fellow at the Memorial University of Newfoundland currently where I am developing an understanding of CO2 sequestration opportunities around Canada. In particular, I focus on assessing and characterizing potential CO2 sequestration sites. I have consulted in both onshore minerals and offshore oil and gas industries, in a geophysics and geoscience capacity.
About me
I adore understanding how the world around me works. I love hiking, mountain biking, climbing and any activity really that gets me outside, into nature. And I love to share that passion with others.
I am interested in outreach and communication opportunities. I believe that how we, as geoscientists, communicate can make or break how we are perceived - and I think it is fair to say in a lot of geo-related disciplines the public perception is not always great.
I have been a passionate participant in a number of outreach projects including research published in Geoscience Communication.
